Hard fighting landlocked king salmon and feisty rainbow trout: Folsom lake is still fishing well! Six hour trip includes tackle, bait, rods, reels. You bring what you want to eat and drink and a cooler (with ice!) to take home your fish. Salmon trips on the Sacramento River start mid-September. Trips will small groups only. Growing up near Puget Sound, with a dad and older brother who fished, I can't even recall the first time I held a rod. I have fished northern California waters now for salmon and trout for over 30 years. Since starting Get The Net in 2020, I've found I love being a fishing guide and introducing folks to the sport. My "regular" job for 32.5 years was being the "Tom" of the "Pat, Tom and Cody Show" on New Country 105.1 KNCI. But I retired in May, '25 and my gig now, I'm happy to say, is out on the water.
